I needed to make a bunch of bread for gifting, plus we needed a loaf for us to eat that day.
I had not done 4 at once and it was a little difficult to keep up with forming them all when the dough had risen but otherwise it was great!

Hamilton County Extension Homemakers Food and Craft Show entry
I have been terrible about photos and blogging the bread, but I just had to do this one.
This year I only entered one item in the Hamilton County Adult Food and Craft Open Show. I made my honey oatmeal wheat bread. I was a little worried about it, as the bread was a little darker than usual, but thought, well this is my first year doing bread so I wanted to still submit it for review. To my surprise, not only did my bread win a blue ribbon and Champion of the entire Bread Division (this competition had bread, cake, cookie, semi-homemade, pie, food preservation and homemade candy divisions in the food section and each of the divisions had several classes under it) but I took Grand Champion of the all the Food Divisions! I am flabbergasted!

March, April and May photos
I need to get better at blogging. I love making bread and have been making it weekly now since April this year. It has been a journey and am learning so much. To catch up, here are some photos from this past 6 months. These may be duplicated in previous posts, but I wanted to get a bunch on here.

Crackers
My first attempt to make crackers, from my current favorite cookbook from King Arthur Flour.
The recipe calls for them being baked and eaten in these large rounds, but the last half of the dough I cut into random crackers, makes them a lot more crunchier. I like the sesame, but a little too much cracked pepper.

A successful loaf!
This one turned out wonderful!
I used the pullman pan, but did not put on the lid. I used King Arthur flour and SAF instant yeast and the plain white bread recipe from KA. It turned out yummy and delicious. Made a grilled cheese with it and was great!
